I planted on Saturday March 28, 2015. The vines were ready to go- for sure. They were pretty happy to get out of their pots and into their new home.
Here is the first one to go in the ground. This was the average size of all 21 vines.
I put the vines that needed the most help in all of the choicest locations- the ones that were really blooming I placed in the 2 areas that incur partial shade during the day. I anchored the redwood stakes as close to the vines as possible, and their first watering included a serving of B1 which helps for transplanting root set. Their little houses are wax dipped- so they withstand weather very well and I’ll keep them on throughout the first year.
